I don't know how I got to round 2, Black Shoal was good, just a little too eager to get an early Rocket, and let me sacrifice an infantry to delay a critical airport capture. Those battle copters seem to be key on that map.

I think we live on opposite sites of the world or something. I stalk the "Who is online" page all the time and I've never seen Alamech online at the same time as me somehow. So no getting a bunch of turns done quickly here.
If it seems too slow, I'll just resign. I think I'm building the wrong things already for this map.. I think artillery before tank would have been better than what I did, we'll see after this is done.

Please don't resign just because the game isn't progressing fast.
It would be most boring, if it ended before even one attack had been executed.

Alamech probably wouldn't be happy about progressing to the finale like that, either

I agree. Resigning for the sake of expediency wouldn't make for an interesting or satisfying tournament experience. I'd rather see a slow, hard fought match than advance someone to the finals just to hurry the tournament along.

Besides, we don't get many tournaments these days. Savor every minute

And don't resign Nyvelion, if anybody does that, it should be me (and I will, if I cannot manage to take my turns faster soon; I don't want to though).
If you care for an explanation, I got a tad overwhelmed with rl since may and my laptop can't deal with the summer heat anymore (damn you lenovo), which is a bad combination, even with extra cooling I only have a few hours before it inevitably shuts down and I need this time for work. I'm happy that I havn't gotten aet'd yet.
So, I couldn't row very much lately, but I'm still on board!

I also like to take a look at the users online page :)But lately I didn't see you there either (... surprising, I know :p). Well, I'm sitting in Yurop, couldn't be online as much and needed to change my sleeping times.

Looking at the game, I don't think your second tank was a bad idea, it hampers my positioning significantly and my arty is not happy because of it. And I think I botched the capturing a little, but we'll see about that

Please don't resign unless you feel you've lost the game.
Even if the game takes very long, that's better than the game ending due to a bad consciousness.

about your recent post re grim grim tournament:
nyvelion might not see your question because this seperate block of threads labelled anouncements and stickies is usually too low down on the screen and infrequently visited.

I dont see much coherence in this block of oddity threads. The AW forum needs

 - a general subforum
 - a tournament and seeking opponent subforum(s)
 - maybe a suggestions subforum (though suggestions could go in general)

on old AWBW forum these worked well
