Grimm vs Grimm Competition - planning phase
Since there haven't been competitions on awbw for a while, I decided to host one.
It's not planned out yet, though. This post is only for determining how many people in this forum would generally be interested.
The rest of the competitors could be grabbed directly from awbw by making the first round games public and adding a comment about the competition. Of course I'd also ask via PM, wether they really want to join.
Maybe that also advertises this forum a bit, as a side effect.
I thought of making it Grimm vs Grimm battles only, because that's a match-up we don't see very often.
And Tanks OHKOing Infs on plains ought to be fun
So, please tell me if you'd like to participate and/or why Grimm vs Grimm is a stupid idea. <3
Interested so far:

Re: Grimm vs Grimm Competition - planning phase
I join.
This an awesome idea. Awesome enough I wish I could join twice. And then eliminate myself in Round 1. And then get fully eliminated in Round 2 by benbever because Dullihan would make me lose to benbever in EVERY TOURNAMENT HE STARTED OFTEN IN ROUND 1 so why break tradition. Seriously though I haven't been good at AW since 2007 and will probably lose but still sounds fun.

Alright, I'll ask benbever whether he wants to join
Seriously though, thanks for the positive response.
Hopefully at least 3 more think the same as you, so we can get the tournament started.

I am literally the worst at responding to things or being punctual, but I'm interested.
Re: Grimm vs Grimm Competition - planning phase
As long as you can play a turn every other day, you should be fine.

Re: Grimm vs Grimm Competition - planning phase
Alright, seems like we only have three players in here.
8 in total would be a nice number and I'm sure we'll find 5 people on awbw willing to take part.
I'll post the tournament brackets soon
How about we start on the 10th?

Thank you all for joining
4 out of 8 players will be from this forum then. The rest we will find on awbw
As promised, here is the tournament bracket:
This map will be used for the first round, unless somebody makes a strong case against it.
I'll create the games tomorrow at 9:00 am (UTC+0:00) and start a new topic for the running tournament.
Please join your game soon, then

Re: Grimm vs Grimm Competition - planning phase
I've joined the fray. I'm really bad with Grimm tough, only played him in tag-games, where I could switch him out... Maybe now I finally learn how to use him
Edit: the link in the description doesn't work, somehow there's "awbw.amarriner.com/" in front of the forum url

Welcome on board.
I hope you'll have fun
In my experience, with Grimm you have to play pretty aggressively.
I'm not an expert, though.
EDIT: I'll try to figure something out about the link

Re: Grimm vs Grimm Competition - planning phase
'Don't worry' you say, 'loose with a smile' you mean? ;)I can do that, but still I'll try to figure out all those ohk-possibilities, let's see who can row faster to adapt to this zanyness
(Although, if we are in the same boot, rowing faster would just make us turn in circles)

Haha, well I'm sure I'll be doing at least as much "losing with a smile" as you.
Especially considering neither of us knows which way to go.
