how do i start a tournament

Hey guys total noon question here but how do I start my own tournament I want to start one using my own maps

Google it.

Personally, I thought there were some pretty helpful search results there. There were good tips and, IIRC, the second result basically gave you a step by step process you could pretty much apply directly to AWBW with minor adjustments for context.

Laughed out loud at "stop trolling". My serious answer that I'm trying to give you is to figure it out on your own. I even gave you a helpful place to start. If you can't even be bothered to take the time to learn how to run a tournament, maybe you aren't ready to run a tournament.

And, if you're under the impression that AWBW has some system that allows players to automatically create tournaments, and are trying to ask about that... AWBW does not have any such thing.

Yeah, if you want to make a tournament you basically have to put the games together individually and do all the tournament workings (brackets etc.) behind the scenes. Usually the forum is a good place for that. If you want to know what kinds of things to consider for a tournament, there's always this thread, but in the end you'll have to make your own decisions as to what you want the tournament to be like etc.

That last part is mostly what Walker's trying to say- you have to make up the plans/rules/ideas for yourself and set up your own tournament and take the initiative. Decide how you want it to work and go with it- it's your tournament.

Take notes from how me, Walker, the-deadly-shadow, and Everdan (to name a few) comment on most maps.

If only there were some view-only map committee role, where he'd think he was actually on the map committee, but instead of being able to do anything, it would just record what he tried to do.
I am genuinely curious what dudeman33 would do on the map committee. And I would have liked to see what he had in mind for a tournament. I'm sure it would have been hilarious.

I would love to have seen what that was like... then again, I'm not sure his ego needed the boost, even if it had been fake.
