Design maps use different countries for teams

Im starting my games with teams. people are selecting countries that are not on my map. Purple where there is no purple on the map. What gives?

I set map as blue moon, but the game starts as purple lighting. what gives?

Hi there. It's possible to change your country color to that of a country that isn't on the map. You do this by going to "Your Games" and selecting "Change Country" for any game that hasn't started yet.

Note that this is a purely cosmetic change. If you join the game as Player 1, then changing your country won't change your position on the map. It will only change how your units/properties appear. The only way to change your position on the map is by dropping out of the game and rejoining as a new country.
