Mafia

Anyone want to do one of those forum Mafia games like we used to have on AWBW? I'm pretty experienced with those, possibly more than anyone else was on AWBW, I can either be in control of it or participate in it if anyone else wants to try running it.
Might be tricky with few people but we can try it if there is interest.

I can't say I was involved in the old forums enough to know what you mean but I might be game. What exactly would it entail?

Xmo5 (and anyone else not familiar with mafia): Mafia is a game, originally an RL party game, but also very suitable for online play. Its simplest form:
All the players are assigned to either the "town" or the "mafia" (many more town than mafia). Someone that's town doesn't know what anyone else is, but the mafia all know who each other are, and usually have a separate private communication area. The game alternates between day and night phases: during each day everyone decides on someone to "lynch"; during each night the mafia get to kill someone. The goal of the town is to lynch all the mafia, the goal of the mafia is to lynch/kill all of the town.

I definitely think a dedicated mafia subforum would be awesome - preferably not nested within the AWBW section, so it can get more exposure.

Probably would need 7 minimum, and preferably 9+. And of course that means we need an "interested" level of at least one more person than that; someone has to run it.

Alright, good news, I've found a couple setups that use 4/5 people. They're not traditional mafia games, but they shouldn't be awful.
