black bombs
Why are black bombs so powerful? They seem very unbalanced to me. If they only did 3hp damage like a silo they would be a more interesting unit to include in games.

Re: black bombs
Black bombs are taken as they are in the original AW series games. Yes, they are very powerful, if you can afford them and seem overpowered in high funds games at least.
You are right.
This is why they are usually banned in most games and in almost all competitive games.

Re: black bombs
I wish WalkerBoh would take some liberties and balance the game better. I think AA's do a little too much damage to air units and stealths need a little disadvantage. New units would be cool too.

Re: black bombs
While there is certainly a lot of design space for balance changes and such, AWBW will never stop being a (mostly) faithful representation of the cartridge games. It would be an interesting project, but AWBW is not the right place for such modifications.

Re: black bombs
Have you ever thought about designing your own game along the lines of AWBW?

Re: black bombs
No way, I'm barely even capable of making modifications to AWBW. Designing a whole game from scratch is way beyond my abilities.

Really? I don't know anything about programming. I assumed you coded the game from scratch. You were able to use most of the original code from the Gameboy games!? How did you get permission from Nintendo? How did you get the code?

I wasn't the one who made AWBW.

Oh, OK, I figured you were the developer. If you don't mind my asking is the developer still participating in updating the game?

Re: black bombs
Nope, AWBW went practically any active development for about the last 8-9 years (big exception was creation of the Global League in 2011).

Re: black bombs
Who was the developer? Were they connected with Nintendo? How did you become the administrator? I hope you don't mind me asking all these questions. It is simply a topic of interest to me.
