Advance Wars Speed Run
Hey guys, you've probably seen me before on AWBW, but I'm going to introduce myself. I'm Darth Hawke, and I have been playing AWBW since around 2006, though I have left and come back multiple times over the years. Advance Wars: Dual Strike was the first Advance Wars game that I played in 2005, and I fell in love instantly with the game series. I joined a forum called Advance Wars Revolution, which is how I got introduced to AWBW.
I've been getting into speedruns over the past two years, but I've been mainly watching them and supporting whatever charity that they choose to host. I tried to do some runs on Pokemon during my holiday breaks, but I haven't completed a single one yet. That's when I got back to thinking about Advance Wars and if they did any speedruns over the years. Turns out, a guy named fetofs did one on AW2, but he used an emulator on that one, which I would assume increases his timing. Another person did one for AW1, but he isn't that great. The other videos on AW1 are glitch runs where they finish in like 13 minutes.
I think this might be cool for people to try out if they're interested. The speedrun I want to do, though, is AW:DS, but the only problem is when the time comes to actually record a video. Frankly, I don't know much about Nintendo DS emulators and the recording devices for Nintendo DS's and emulators, but I figured that maybe one or two of you guys might know.
